Woke up today, had some crappy dim sum and heard these words “we’re going to the hot springs place again ok?”.

And it wasn’t a question.

WTF right? I was just complaining how hot it is in the last post and here we are, going to melt my ass off in the hot springs?

Uumph……. after some whining, groaning and bargaining, I agreed to it, thinking a little trip would be better than being at home all the time. *I bargained that we take the wira instead of the feroza(daihatsu) because it was less bumpy ride*

You know, I blogged about the place once.

You wouldn’t believe it if I’d told you this but……

…… it bloody flooded AGAIN!!

Of the two times I’ve been there, it rained on both occasions and it also flooded on both occasions.

But this time, there were more visitors. School holidays, yo.

More visitors = unhappy tOast

why??

cos they have no civic conscience whatsoever.

I was watching in horror as a big fat girl lady blob of mass waddled nonchalantly towards the other end of the pool WHILE shampooing her hair and WHILE the pool guards blew their whistle and signalled her to get out.

Note, I didn’t write “FRANTICALLY blew their whistle and signalled her to get out”. It’s just because they were indifferent towards it.

It was like this:

*pi!phi!*

*stares at her hoping her gaze would meet theirs*

*waves hand telling her to get out*

*stare abit more*

*blob does not look like she’s going back where she came anytime soon*

*sigh*

*look elsewhere and continue chatting with poolguard friend*

Oh god, never have I cringed when the smell of shampoo hit my nose.

Yep, she washed it all away IN the pool.

And there were ppl eating while waddling….bla bla bla….. and you wouldn’t know how many pee-ed in the quiet corners….

sien…. I got out from there and returned to the pool with hot water…….. you know, to kill off those germs. Right, no germs ma… all suds and oil only, don’t be a pansy prissy…… Fuck it, it’s disgusting ok?
You serious cannot believe this has happened right?

Try it, go somewhere with LOTS of happy families doing happy gatherings near somewhere with water and this is what you’ll get. Rivers, waterfalls, beaches, certain not-so-strict pools and yeah, Sg. Klah hot springs park, they’re all merrymaking ppl out to ruin appetites.

Oh well, it was a nice trip. I didn’t have any arguments with my mom and I kinda enjoyed myself in the HOT pool. And I got to eat the famed Bidor Pun Chun’s duck noodles. Seriously, nothing to shout about. The duck meat was overcooked, too dried out and tasteless. But the soup was nice even though any restaurant can up that .

Dinner, however, was absolutely satisfying. We had claypot chicken rice in Kampar. Done to perfection with a little charred rice at the bottom of the pot, huge chunks of TENDER chicken, salted fish and great accompanying soup and bean sprouts, it was the best I had in a long time. It didn’t have the name displayed but the shop is just along the main road of Kapmar town and it’s the cornershop, with lotsa ppl most of the time. Eat til you drop, only RM18 for 3 ppl.
